January in Nova Scotia - no wait, Hawaii

Sometime near the end of 2010, the heads of the Walker family decided that it was high time to take all the Walker kids and grandkids to some tropical locale. So Steph signed up to find a rental place in Hawaii, and after a few weeks came upon an enormous vacation home in South Kihei that fit all our requirements. The main house slept 14 people, and there is a separate 2-person guesthouse on the same property that was perfect for Mum and Dad.

We booked it for the end of January, and Mum & Dad paid for all of us to travel there and for the vacation home, while the kids divvied up any remaining costs for transportation on the island and entertainment. It was by far the greatest vacation, and such an incredible opportunity--not least because not many new business owners get to go to Hawaii after only one year in business!

How do I sum it up? Fresh limes from the trees in our yard, banana and papaya (not in season, too bad!), running barefoot on the beach with Jen, and some fabulous day trips with everyone. It was a spectacular trip.
