October pics

Thanksgiving supper at the Sedgies. Could only get D to wear his tie when he saw that Daddy was wearing his (thank goodness!)

One of D's favourite people! He told me once (when he was two) that he was going to marry Ange when he grows up.

October pics

You may notice that I've managed to post some chronologically-backwards stuff here. Unusual, I know, but typical of what's been going on around here lately!
D pushing Ruth in her swing.
"Don't take our picture!" "Okay, I won't."
Ruth in Grandma Linda's all-time favourite outfit. A certain Calgarian brother-in-law should like this too. Perhaps I can sell it to the Roughies...

November

Dawson's "grocery shop". Yes, this is his room. Yes, there's dairy on there. No, you can't keep this stuff in your "grocery shop" all day.
Lite Brite!! The old Walker one, no less. This picture is misleading--it looks like D is letting me put pieces in, when in reality I was only allowed to put in a couple while he did the rest.
Our second incredibly tolerant kitty, Blue. This is the one D likes to have in his room with him (see my post somewhere in December!) I took several pics of this, and her position never changed, whether D was hugging her or not.

More December...

Dawson the Stupendous
Advent Calendar activity: Candlelit bubble bath. This is just before Ruth and I got in, D was playing peekaboo with Ruth while I set up the candles. Too fun--and the fire was narrowly averted when D was drying off with his towel and swept it up and around in the air, 1/2 inch from the candles, nearly gave me a heart attack.
How cute can you get??

More December...

So close to crawling... Ruth can scootch backwards, and spin in all directions, but she hasn't quite worked out the forward motion yet. Just in case, the safety gate is up at the top of the stairs...
Ange's house (across the street from us) after the crazy storm last weekend (2-yr-old roof).
D & R played with this balloon for a good 20 minutes! What a great big brother. Of course, most of the game involved yanking it away from his little sister and then laughing hysterically, but she doesn't know any better (yet) so if he thinks it's funny, so does she!
Cute little duckie!

Happiest baby, now that she can sit on her own!
Ruth at our first-ever SAGE Christmas party, on Dec 11
Dawson hogging all the helium balloons at the party
Ruth checking out those pokey green things (which are also all over the floor!)

Some December pics

This was actually a baby mash, with about 2 good photos out of the whole bunch, but this one is the best by far!
Roscoe trying to get some love while there was some family chaos on the other couch (Blue was nowhere to be seen; D is known for hauling her into his room and shutting the door, and making her listen to his stories--not his books, his made-up stories.)
A Christmas photo shoot--the best shot
But this is the best shot of the Christmas pout, while Ruth decided to steal the show
