A Brief Update

And so, the challenge of summing up several months in only a few photos. Here are the highlights, because the whole point of this blog is to share our lives with our loved ones who live elsewhere...

In November, SAGE Energy had its first fiscal year-end; ie., Steph had to be led by the hand by our accountant. It wasn't too bad, but perhaps our accountant spared my feelings. All in all, our first year was far more successful than we'd hoped--we even managed to be slightly in the black, instead of the dreaded red!

So at the beginning of December, we threw our first SAGE Christmas party. We rented the upstairs of the Spitfire Arms in Windsor (an excellent pub) and had a craftsy lady come in to do Hama beads with the kids while the grownups yakked and ate. Then the grownups moved downstairs to the pub for the Spitfire's first ever stand-up comedy show, sponsored by SAGE. All the proceeds (not that there was much) went to the local Big Brothers Big Sisters charity.

And there were balloons:

We spent this Christmas at home in Windsor, with our friends. Santa came to visit on the fire truck (a Windsor tradition) and I thought Dawson was going to lose his mind, he was so excited! (Ruth, however, was a bit freaked out; she's never been a fan of fire truck sirens!)
